Interconnection Quality Analysis

interconnection refers to the RF infrastructure required to transport cellular BTS downlink and uplink signals between the air interface and the radio equipment. Vital to the performance of the radio system this infrastructure includes the antenna and all common components between this radiation collection point and the radio equipment.

Quality of RF components selected and the workmanship used to install these, is key to the long term  return on investment for the whole cellular network. Poor quality installations are a time bomb with potential remedial costs being masked until there is a need to expand the capacity or coverage of the cell.

Analysis of the interconnection quality up until now has been difficult and expensive, hence often passed up as unnecessary. Triasx iQA is a suite of products and services that provide Remedial or, more importantly, preventative solutions that allow the radio equipment to perform to the extent intended by the design engineer at all times.

iQA CERTIFICATION SERVICES - Quality assurance through applied technology

Through iQA partners, Triasx is able to offer the following professional certification services:

bullet Independent certification of Base Station or In-Building RF interconnection systems.
bullet Field and factory testing of critical interconnection products such as antennas, cable tails, combiners, splitters, etc.
bullet Training and certification of installers competency to build and test RF interconnect systems.

iQA TEST EQUIPMENT  - Interconnection Quality Analysers

Designed and manufactured by Triasx, this light weight, user friendly series of test equipment is endorsed by cellular network operators as the appropriate tool to confirm the end to end RF interconnection performance.

The IMT Series of Intermodulation Analyser allows efficient testing of interconnect parameters such as Passive Intermodulation (PIM) and Return Loss (RL/VSWR).
